I'm Joshua—I live in Falkirk and run Falkirk Tech Help as a personal, in-home service. It's just me, and I'll be the person who comes to your door.

Why I started Falkirk Tech Help

Technology is supposed to make life easier—but for many people, it does the opposite. I kept hearing from people who were frustrated, embarrassed, or worried about their devices, and who didn't know who to turn to. Most felt they couldn't ask a family member again, and the alternatives were expensive, impersonal, or both.

I started Falkirk Tech Help to fill that gap. I offer patient, honest, in-home tech help—the kind of service a knowledgeable neighbour would give, at a fair price, without making you feel silly for asking.

My background

I hold a 1st Class BSc in Computer Science from the University of Essex. I've spent years helping people with technology in a range of settings—from running coaching and training sessions to volunteering at a Code Club, teaching computing to children.

I also run One Blue Pixel, a web design and digital marketing agency, which means I work with technology every day. Whether it's a complex network problem or a simple phone setup, I've seen it before.

But qualifications aside, what matters most is how I work. I go at your pace. I explain things in plain English. I don't rush, I don't talk down to anyone, and I don't charge for anything I haven't fixed.

Who I help

Most of my customers are people who just want their technology to work—phone, laptop, WiFi, printer—without having to learn a whole new vocabulary to get there. Many feel they've been left behind by technology that's changed too quickly, or have been given confusing advice in the past.

I help people of all ages, but I have a particular soft spot for older adults who've been brushed off or made to feel like a nuisance. There is no such thing as a stupid question.

How I work

Plain English

I never use jargon unless I've explained it first. You should always know what's happening and why.

Your pace

There's no timer running and no rushing. We go as slowly as you need.

Honest advice

I'll always tell you the truth—even if that means recommending a cheaper option or saying you don't need something.

No fix, no fee

If I can't sort the problem, you don't pay. It's that simple.
