Getting a new phone should be exciting—not stressful. Whether you’ve just bought a new iPhone or Android, or you’re struggling with something on your current phone, I’ll come to your home in Falkirk and sort it out at your pace.
Setting up a new phone properly
The first thing most people want when they get a new phone is everything from the old one—contacts, photos, WhatsApp messages, email, and apps. Doing this manually is time-consuming and nerve-wracking, especially if you’re not sure you’ve got everything.
I handle the whole transfer process in one visit. I’ll connect your old phone and your new one, move everything across, and then check together that nothing has been missed. Contacts, photos, apps, email accounts, saved WiFi passwords—it all comes with you.
Once the transfer is done, I’ll go through the new phone with you at your own pace. I’ll point out where everything is, adjust any settings that don’t suit you (text size, ringtone, notification settings), and make sure you feel comfortable before I leave.
iPhone to iPhone, Android to Android—or switching between the two
Switching between the same type of phone (iPhone to iPhone, or Samsung to Samsung) is generally straightforward. Switching between Apple and Android is trickier—contacts and photos usually transfer fine, but some apps and data have limitations. I’ll tell you upfront what will and won’t transfer, so there are no surprises.
Help with an existing phone
You don’t need to have a new phone to benefit from a visit. If your current phone is:
- Running slowly or behaving strangely
- Running out of storage space
- Doing something you don’t understand
- Set up in a way that doesn’t suit you

WhatsApp and video calling setup
One of the most common things I help with is setting up WhatsApp and video calling apps like FaceTime and Zoom—particularly for people who want to keep in touch with family. I’ll get everything installed, show you how to use it, and make sure it works before I leave.
